Geriatric Podiatry in Barcelona: Specialists in Foot Care for Older People
At our clinic in Barcelona we offer a complete geriatric podiatry service, focused on the care, prevention and treatment of foot problems in older people. We know that, over the years, feet need more specialised attention to maintain mobility and comfort and avoid complications.
Our team of podiatrists is trained to meet the specific needs of older people, with a friendly, safe and fully personalised approach. We assess the skin, nails, gait and structure of the foot to offer effective solutions from the first visit.
Why is geriatric podiatry important?
As we age, our feet undergo natural changes. The skin becomes drier, the nails thicken and the muscles weaken. This can cause pain and mobility problems and increase the risk of falls.
Regular podiatric check-ups make it possible to:
Detect and treat hard skin, corns and thickened nails.
Prevent skin and nail infections.
Improve mobility and posture, helping to avoid falls and accidents.
Relieve pain in the feet, ankles, knees or back caused by gait problems.
Give guidance on suitable footwear and preventive measures.
